Grief Tending Ritual

Grief Tending April 2021

By Request

Great Salt Lake, Utah

I have offered grief tending rituals since 2014 at the Great Salt Lake. This ritual, inspired by the Daruga tradition, welcomes and moves Grief, in community. This ritual is simple, body-based and held with us by the wild natural setting of the Great Salt Lake. When you are free to move Grief through your body, mind and psyche, lovingly held and witnessed, you are washed clear. You become more open and able to receive the gifts of Grief, of Joy, and of Life.

Come join us at Celest Fest in late summer near Huntsville, Utah — a no-substance festival complete with song, dance, food, community, and . . . Grief Tending!!!

Grief Tending is a simple ritual in the nearby wild natural world to safely grieve freely so that you can move the energy of Grief and begin to receive its gifs.. Please contact me with any questions you might have.

Thanks for facilitating the group last night and for leading us into what felt to me like another world. It was cold, but I wanted the drums and the grieving space we created to continue until the stars and the night sky came out. Till next time.
